Changes Made to the History of ACA Under Trump

The ACA focused on offering medical care to all non-disabled adults. These were the ones that had a low income. There were various goals ACA had when it was enacted. These included reducing the number of uninsured residents in the state. Another goal was ensuring that people with low income would be able to access healthcare. ACA was also focused on promoting personal responsibility and value-based decision decision-making. There was a lot of focus in promoting prevention and primary care through ACA. Through ACA there was efficient management of the whole program. Fiscal responsibility was also promoted. There was provision of adequate health care services once ACA was enacted. Secondary treatments were also used to prevent progression of chronic diseases.

After it was approved it expanded coverage to parents with dependent children who had low income. Individuals who had a high income were then were ten eligible for tax credits. There was a new individual health insurance marketplace that allowed them to purchase coverage. These had been developed by ACA. There was development of personal wellness and responsibility account. This account was used to cover any initial medical costs. There were incentives provided for those people that utilized services in a cost effective manner. There was creation of an account of preventive care. Individuals in this case were covered up to a certain percentage. There were no deductibles and there was no withdraw from the power account. There were state power account contributions that would be carried over when you obtained preventive care. This ensured that patients did not have to go straight to the emergency room when seeking treating. This led to the reduction of premature deaths. Instead people booked appointments with physicians.

President Trump decided to take matters into his own hands when the congress refused to repeal and replace the Affordable Care Act. He ordered the departments of health, Labor and human services to propose regulations. This was to expand the types of plans for individuals and small businesses. This made it easy for employers with few employees to form associations of health plans. In this case they would be able to sell low cost and short term insurance.

Payments that were made to insurers were also cut down. This cut down was on all the discounts that they provided to policholders who earn moderate income. Insurance companies had to implement ways in which they would get the money they were promised. Trump signed an executive order that would give people easier access to different health types. This was to benefit those people that buy their own insurance from indiana health insurance companies. This promoted health care choice and competition in all states. Many people would very happy due to this decision.
